Plz help with uploading a background picture

I tried the code for uploading a colour onto the background of my listing,

but couldnt get it to work.

How do i upload one of my pictures as the whole background ?

And is there a way of making this my default background (for all future listings) and of all my previous listings, or do i need to upload it in each listing seperately ?
