Yes it was an awesome event and thanks for the positive comments. This was by far the best show we have put on and the attendance far exceeded my expectation. The exhibits on display was of world class standards and some of the items on display was breath taking. Boer War medallions displayed by the Clutural History museum are only seen in books and those privileged to see them were most fortunate. We had a total of 20 exhibits and congratulations must go to Robert Bakewell for winning the Natal Numismatic Society Award for the Best 2010 Exhibit.

There were some superb items on offer by dealers, Veldponde, 99 Overstamped, nice ZAR and some RARE Boer War Medallions. The public also brought in Veld Ponde to sell and the 15 dealers in attendance were most satisfied with the days event.

Thanks must also go out to the guys from Cape Town and JHB who came over for the show.

The Dinner on Saturday night at the Havanna Grill was attended by 80 people, and it was a superb event enjoyed by all, and many left with some nice gifts which were sponsored, and one of the winners was none other than Cuan from BidorBuy.

I will post some pictures later of the event including the Mints launch of the Flypress Tickey and the Fifa World Cup Medallions.

Now its time for me to put my legs up.....

Cheers

Hi HR_COINS

Yep, still got a long way to go from being a ballie, especially with collecting. I have been collecting since I was 15 years old, but really got serious 20 years ago. I still have got a lot to learn and I respect those that have thought me along the way.

Keep watching this space for some exciting developments in South African Numismatics this year. After the MINT show on 16 June, we will be in discussions. The idea is to take numismatics to the next level. Some really exciting stuff with some really big and new sponsors coming on board.

Cheers
