Bargain Games 10 Posted May 12, 2010 Hi There Could somebody refer me to a business where I go buy padded envelopes (Jiffy)? The local post office is struggling to get stock. CNA is way to expensive. Any suggestions?
moppies 10 Posted May 12, 2010 Bargain games I know oyur frustration - the Post Office can not supply anymore. CNA and PNA is too expensive. Try Makro. I've recently bought 10 for R23.00 but it also depends on the size of the bag. Hope you strike it lucky!

lilythepink 11 Posted May 12, 2010 Metro is expensive - when they have the bags! But I'm sure there must be a Walton's in Bloem? Our local Walton's is the cheapest of all (except the PO) on these padded envelopes.

MsPlod 11 Posted May 12, 2010 Do you have any "W'rite Shop" (or Stadex - same company) or "Paper Weight" stores in Bloem? Between the two I can get virtually any stationery at really good prices - often in bulk as well.

SProducts 10 Posted May 13, 2010 I posted with my other account by mistake. I am overworking myself, this is the sign, should take a holiday! Below is the original post, to those who pm'd me, please pm again to this account and I will reply. Cant login with the second account, Admin wont be happy with me! I also had this problem, CNA is way too expensive and even teh staionery store are also expensive. Post office have been telling me they are waiting for stock for months now. I used to easily get them at Marshalltown post office, I would get any number. I fortunately found a company, I bought 100 X C1 envelopes for aboutR240.00 inclusive of VAT, that's R2.40 each envelope. Anyone interested, PM me for company name and website. They are manufacture's and sell to the public also, not sure here but I bought through my company name. Sipho
luckybird 10 Posted May 14, 2010 Hi All, I thought about this situation about 1 month ago i have a container arriving in Cape Town on the 16th in this container we have various packaging items, padded envelopes are one of the items, we will be selling various standard and specialist packaging from zip lock bags to to mailer bags and Bubble wrap pouches you name it. You will find the prices to be very reasonable Padded envelopes range from R0.74 up we also have grey mailers for clients who dont want or need to spend lots on packaging they can have a bubble wrap pouch fitted, The grey bags are similar material to the Speed Services bag material. These are used allot for standard items. they range from 37c to 99c each and are worth it. we will also be supplying a range of small cardboard boxes they range from just 75c to R1.09 for a two 3 walled box. Bubble wrapping R99 per roll. The first container is almost fully booked i have about 50 000 packs of zip lock bags ranging from tiny 1.8 x 2.5cm to the larger bags. I will be listing these items very shortly but if there is any interest you can pm me we can make some listings.
luckybird 10 Posted May 14, 2010 Thank you everyone, I have received some positive responses about our packaging products that we intend to sell. Just an update though the Ship that was due in Cape Town on the 16th will now only arrive on the 25th due to strike action the goods were delayed. He have been given some ideas but essentially we will sell various types of packaging the specialty stuff to postage supplies even packaging tapes and packets. to food containers ( however food packaging will be later, I am having the products tested independently) For stamp and coin collectors we will also introduce a range of packaging for their needs, Jewelry suppliers we have several items from 100micron miniature zip lock bags to cases. One question that was asked though, is where will we be selling from. the answer in short I would like to sell everything from South Africa, ie no need for international high costs of shipping. When we send goods by sea it can be as much as 200 times cheaper than Air transport. i would like to send goods by the South African post office where rates can be significantly lower. However it will take some time to build stock some speciality packaging will still be sent from China until we have built a strong foundation. I thank everyone for their kind words and support. thanks again all
davan 10 Posted May 18, 2010 Padded Envelopes I buy from the Manufacturer / Distributor directly. Contact "Sealed Air" they make it. otherwise convince your local Waltons to order specifically for you. The packs come in 10's - make sure you buy a minimum of 10 - as any less you will be paying more. btw : Sealed Air supplies bulk

pablojani 10 Posted June 16, 2010 padded envelopes I recycle all mine. I have a box of them from items that I have received in the post. I just paste a piece of plain typing paper over the side that is written on - sometimes I have to paste over both sides. Of course I realise you may not have any to recycle but it's just a suggestion.
