HR_COINS 10 Posted March 28, 2010 Maybe SACGS can do onsite grading........ Just like the NGC events....... Just an idea.
Guest Guest Posted March 28, 2010 Maybe SACGS can do onsite grading........ Just like the NGC events....... Just an idea. Logistically about impossible, apart from the expense. That is very honnest. A coinfair lasts a couple of hours, In USA it is an event, that can be several days. The amount of enthusiastic collectors is also substantially larger. regards SACGS SUPPORT
coinoisseur 11 Posted March 29, 2010 Hi Everyone Ok, I can confirm the following for the Durban Show. I have provisionally booked the 30th May 2010 at Durban's Suncoast Casino. Show times will be 10h00 to 16h00. There should be +- 15 dealers attending and there will be about 14 Exhibits by members of the Natal Numismatic Society. The ABSA Museum will also be exhibiting and the National Cultural History Museum will probably exhibit ZAR and Burgers pond dies. The S.A Mint will also be taking a stand and will offer items for sale to the public. There is hope that the S.A Mint might launch a coin at the Durban show. This is still under talks and we have a conference meeting later this week with SAAND, S.A Mint and ABSA to dicsuss further. There is still a lot of planning to be done, and once I have all the details, I will keep everyone updated via this post. Please take note of the following for those wanting to come to the show from out of town. 30th May is the Comrades Marathon. It is also 12 days before the official kick off of the World Cup. Hotel accommodation will be scarce, so book early and make proper arrangements for hotel and flights Cheers........

geejay50 10 Posted April 3, 2010 Shall we ask NGC to send their grading setup across? How many coins would be immediately available to make the flight worthwhile? I can liase with them. Geejay

Geejay Remember to bring ample coin dip and a pliers to break the coins out their capsules. If it dont grade or you not satisfied with the grade..break it out of the capsule... dip it and get back in line..
