Union Coins South Africa 1923-1960 (selling advice)
GreLur5194 posted a topic in Coins and Notes (for the Numismatist)
Hello all numismatist i have a collection of South Africa Union Coins i am going to be selling. (1923-1960) i have a few questions if you could please assist. hopefully this will help others as well. silver price for .500 vs .800 composition, most retailers don't seem to distinguish between the two when offering a price. they just group them all under one category, should there be a price difference? collectors value vs silver value, are the prices of these coins strictly linked to the composition value or is there a premium attached to each coin(I'm not referring to any of the commonly known rare years/condition/graded) just for common years in a good to fine condition. is it beneficial to sell these coins individually or will including them all in a lot, bring the same relative value? as of 26/01/2021 would you be able to provide your thoughts on what the following coins should be worth in good - fine condition 5 Shilling King George VI (1947 - 1952): 5 Shilling Queen Elizabeth II (1953 - 1959): 2 1/2 Shilling King George V (1923 - 1936): 2 1/2 Shilling King George VI (1937 - 1952): 2 1/2 Shilling Queen Elizabeth II (1953 - 1960): 3 Pence King George V (1923 - 1936): 3 Pence King George VI (1937 - 1952): 3 Pence Queen Elizabeth II (1953 - 1960): here is a list of what i am looking to sell with the QTY for each, i can send photos and any other info you may require: let me know if someone would like to make an offer on the lot.
