    Common Bidorbuy, WTF is going on with the new format. It is bloody terrible. As I explained on the live chat, BoB is going to lose sellers including me if you do not revert back to the older format. Have you ever considered those people that are not as computer orientated (most older sellers fall into this group), that must now navigate this maze of crap that you have created. The system if difficult to navigate for both sellers and buyers and I have been on BoB for 11yrs, it looks to me like BoB now does not give a **** about its clientele. This system is a NIGHTMARE. Can BoB issue a response please. I see a lot of other complaints about the same thing. I am also unable to get work, having survived 2 major heart attacks and this is one of the platforms where at least I can generate an income to support myself and now you are probably destroying the lively hood of many others in similar situations. COMMON BOB, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER

    I cant post parcels as i cant see who paid or who hasn't. You are responsible Bidorbuy. Fix youre site. You are really deteriorating the last few months. You making it impossible to sell on Bob and that affects both of us. Its like my 8 year old is programming and designing youre site, But i do think he can do a better job, Employ people that can actually do the job. Or just get rid of who ever did this crap. There is so many problems to mention. Did you contact Wix to get someone to design youre site? Because he cant.

    A very poor amateur attempt. Please let us keep the old site which we and the buyers are happy with. At least it works and is user friendly which is more than can be said of the new site.

    Did you hire the ceo of s.a.a or Eskom to redesign the site. It is an total messup. I for one am spending my money on facebook rather than here. Return the old site before I will shop here again.

    The problem is that BidorBuy has in a way lost contact with the people who pay their salaries – the sellers on BidorBuy. (We have seen the same thing with the current Government who does not realize that the taxpayer is the person who pays the salary of the government employee). It seems that BoB has over-compensated trying to please buyers in every possible way, but have lost contact with the sellers – those hard working guys and girls that keep BoB going every minute of the day. BoB, before you switch off the old link – please do a survey under top-sellers regarding how happy they are with the new BoB-layout. If most are predominantly against the switch, and you proceed regardless, you will probably be the ones that will be switched off. On a more positive note, I think you need say 6 months to panel-beat the new system before you do a seller-survey - THEN you will know if you must switch :– your “tax payers” will give you the thumbs up (or not). And then you will know if the majority that pays your salaries are happy and what you must do to keep BoB successfully afloat. I wish a prosperous 2020 to all BoB–staff and fellow Bobbers.     The new pages look too EMPTY with lot of white background. It might take weeks / months to get used to it. I SUGGEST sellers and buyers have to be given a choice to to use older layout.

    BOB does not have a great history of listening to sellers complaints. Let's hope that this time is different. Please BOB remove this new site which appears to have been written by an amateur with little understanding of selling on line. We are quite happy with the present site and so are our buyers. I can only see a downturn in sales from now on if BOB persists with this very poor site. Please BOB, for once, listen to your sellers !

    really bad -I am a seller with over 50k plus positive feedback and you would at the least have expected Bid Or Buy to contact myself and other long-standing sellers for input (let us try a beta format or give suggestions) before going live with this creation. I use Firefox as my main browser now I have to use Chrome to get back to the old site. I find the new format confusing and clumsy

    @DaveDave2013 It has now become so complicated and mind-numbing to sell full-time on BoB... I have noticed multiple flaws in your new layout. It has stripped away many valuable functions sellers have used for more years than you have been at BoB. Even if the functions are still there, getting to and using them have become cumbersome.

    This is a disaster, as an old school programmer this web design is the worst I ever seen. Look if the web designer is a grade R beginner, just crying for his mother and want to go home, well you welcome, leave your mesh where it belongs in the dust bin and reinstall the old web that was working. I complaint all day about the resolution but it seems to me you are unable to rectify a simple common error, pixels brother, that's how real programming work, not uses black boxes of other designers, you do not understand how it works. I will definitely send BidorBuy to hell and buy direct from the seller on your site!!!!!!

    This is incompetence.... You develop a new site...let it go live and you have issues galore... Why would any one give the go ahead on a site where they still have not sorted all the issues?? By blocking a Poll you will not make the issues go away.... At least when someone complains about something acknowledge it!. Why do you ignore the people who brings in the money?? This is a joke !!!

    Before the poll was autocratically stopped, nearly 90% of BoB users gave a thumbs down to the new layout. I suspect most of those responses came from sellers. "Admin" will probably not respond now, but in a few months they will - the end might be near then ...     I just checked out the OLX site - BidorBuy's only current competitor in SA, and it looks if the same programmer is responsible for both major disasters. (The OLX-site is strangely similar, but even worse than Bob's new layout). BidorBuy - PLEASE just revert back or face the music - currently something like 90+% of those in the forum-pole are urging you to do that. What exactly is difficult about understanding that the overwhelming majority of your current users are horrified ....? Just give us back the old format please. The new one is not sucking, it is a disaster already happening.

    See new format and one can no longer see who the seller is when scrolling without opening the post. There are a few sellers that I would not buy from again and it is a nuisance to have to open the post to see who the seller is.

    From a selling point of view, the new design is a total disaster. We had a credit card payment. After many minutes of searching, we still had no idea on how to accept the payment. Switch to the old site, and the link is in red, easy to accept the payment. Easy to print the packing slip, address label etc. The old selling is easy to use. Unless the new glitches are fixed, or we go back to the old site, we have no idea if we will be able to continue to provide an efficient service to our customers using Bid or Buy. How do you find payments, search for a specific buyer, search in the shipping notes to help track parcels? Please Bid or Buy, fix this mess.

    We also lose thousands of Rands every month in lost enhancement fees. I am even afraid to enhance many listings with home page / premium enhancements, afraid of losing those R 50s and R 100s due to non paying one timers

    Sometimes it goes even beyond, buyer responds / appeals to SNC saying they are planning to pay and they are given further time and still doesn't pay. We are forced to keep the item for over 15 days and end up losing the selling opportunity during that period.

    This is how we deal with this problem if Bob cant help us with this irritating and annoying "new" feature. Problem at top - solution at bottom

    New site is an absolute nightmare. Seriously considering leaving BoB as they have just made everything too much hassle with this new site. By not listening to us, their customers, they are digging their own graves

    Anyone else having problems with the old site but new site working perfectly? I'm actually on the forum in the old site but can't access my seller page and certain things on the old site, like categories on the shopping page and also recent buys.

    Some post offices are accepting,some are not,some goods are moving,some are not My local sapo is not yet accepting mail as the GEORGE DEPOT IS STILL LOCKDOWN,so they not collecting mail No point handing goods in and then it lies there for everyone to examine and steal at theie leisure. But,some buyers see there goods arre movng from other sapo and query why i have not yet sent by sapo The above is the reason and there will be breakdowns along the way in the supply chains as these people dont want to work WHY WOULD THEY,they get full salary to do nothing,but we have to earn a liviing thats why we have to carry on,and they are no more at risk of infection than me or you so..... THANK GOOODNESS for postnet and courier.... clients must pay the extra and then no problems,,,, neil

    That is wonderful. I see that BidorBuy is also providing R500 free enhancement fees to sellers -- that is a great gesture. Thank you guys! Now, as an even greater gesture, the majority (I would guess) of Bobbers would appreciate the "old" site back as soon as possible. BoB can always provide the link to the "new" site on the website to those few sellers that actually uses it.

    This is certainly a major victory but still very early and more clarity will be needed. I'm hoping it includes Postnet to Postnet as that is drop off at branch and pick up at branch and might not be seen as an online service.

    Submissions still being made to minister before new regulations gazetted into law. However these power hungry minions have no grey matter,no business sense or even a tack of commen sense. To keep people at home its is so obvious that u make online shopping easy and accessible and allow deliveries of all items. There are no more risks for a driver to pick up 10 parcels at POSTNET OR COURIER than there is for one parcel. AND parcels will still be delivered to individual homes etc,not to 10 people gathered together to collect And how many times have u seen more than 3 or 4 people inside a SAPO OR A POSTNET EVEN? They can allow thousands of old vulnerable people to congregate for hours outside sapo but cannot allow a few people a day to conduct business... This was the one area they should have concentrated on to make easier for all and then people would stay home as advised. neil ps clients are buying but that was in the hope of receiving after lockdown,i expect lot less sales this month and many payments not being honoured as the logical assumption is why must i pay you until u can dispatch,thats bad news for us sellers and to top that BIB OR BUY OF COURSE WILL TAKE FULL COMMSSIONS ON SALES when purchase is made,but SHOULD THEY NOT PERHAPS ONLY TAKEcommssions WHEN PAYMENTS ARE DONE DURING THE COVID LOCKDOWN? i have 100 percent sales and paid 100 percent commsions but only receiving 30 percent payments so my commissions on sales deducted almost as much as payments received,hence very little income to rely on ths month.... plus snc filing should be extended to 3 months during this period and not 2 as i have many regulars that perhaps cannot pay yet but i do not wish to file snc yet nd upset them ,but if i dont file within 2 months then we lose more commissions to bob again,,,, no win im afraid,,,,

Further in the period 2004 - 2019 gold realized growth of 661% whilst the price of the commemorative gold 1oz coin quoted above realized growth of 467%. From the above it seems that the premium charged over gold is actually declining over time however the nominal prices of the item still make it un-affordable/non financially attractive for most.

    All these problems passes me by, because when I lock into BidorBuy , I just scroll right down and click on View Desktop Site I don't care about this horrible current disaster (The BoBona Virus?) I just carry on using the old site as if nothing append. Otherwise I would go insane. The few times I tried the new lay-out, it almost ended in me throwing my PC out of the window. So everything is now calm again our in out house and we carry on very happy and contended as ever before. If BoB should stop the use of the old workable site (View Desktop Site ) the end will unfortunately be near for many mega sellers like me.... But as long as they keep that friendly & uncomplicated & and workable "old" platform, I foresee no problems... Pierre

    I am now convinced no one is using the new layout to list the above problem persists and i have checked with another seller and his computer is doing the same so its not only me and for no one else on bob to report this MEANS NO ONE IS LISTING ON NEW FORMAT.....

    I see that both positive and negative ratings are now shown in "green" vs. the old system where positive was green and negative was red. The only difference is a smile upwards or downwards on the smilies face, but where you have to have a magnifying glass to actually see what is what. Why not just drop the whole rating system with this utter nonsense where one can hardly spot buyers (and sellers) that are bad company? Bob, why do you make it more difficult to spot persons that are wasting all our time and money?

    Good to see that BoB is bang up to date and in tandem with most of the rest of South African service providers. If it works - bugger it up. Make it as unpleasant and tiresome an experience as possible for the users. And phooey to the punters. The Forums remember them? Vibrant. Lots of threads. Keen discussion with many regular contributors. Then - some IT genius plays clever. Result - a moribund, dull, near dead thing kept "alive" by spaz admin / mod posts about ridiculous holidays. The IT genius has struck again ...... at the main site now. Just like with the bakery in Checkers - it SHOULD be a pleasure. But operator initiatives, poor quality staff & lack of customer care make it a pain. So - one walks away. Sadly, though, SA has an unsophisticated, malleable, sheepish general public / consumer base which will put up with any old rubbish tossed their way. No matter who stays, goes, relocates - there will be sufficient uptake of new dummies, seller & buyer alike. Of course, BoB has an eye on the main market ......mass market of low grade consumers glued to their cell phones. Hence the change of emphasis and the continuing dumbing down. But BoB's still yer uncle -l copping the dough from zillions of connected dummies; much to the chagrin of the now marginalized less basal user. And so it goes...........

    I never write on blogs, but here i think BidorBuy made a real mess of a system that even if it was not perfect it actually worked. To try and re-list 700 plus items per day on this clumsy layout over 2 hours it is a little too much time spent. I agree with the above comments, a Beta version should have been tried out , mostly with the larger sellers, pages are clumsy and cluttered, poor design....etc etc. My 2 cents worth.. Carlos

    @DaveDave2013 I am disappointed that after more than doubling our fees almost 2 years ago this "new look site" that is a disaster is the result of all that extra money we have been paying you. We asked for simple little things like, allowing us to group multiple order together, a simpler more streamlined SNC system, etc. What do we get from you? Just more complications. The problem with BoB is not the layout!!!

    I can't see the seller's names. There are some sellers I don't want to buy from again, or who are just dreamers in the stamp section that I want to just scroll past. I can't find the "search for sellers" anymore. I normally search for a few sellers daily to see if they have anything new posted that I might need in my stamp collection. If I move my mouse towards "what's new" it moves over the top item on the left, I think it's called "digital", then a popup bar appears and covers "what's new". Annoying. I like to look through the stamp section with rows, like it was before, but tiles are default and I have to constantly click rows with every search. Annoying. If the item is a buy now or an auction isn't clear either. Why do you have to change something that worked perfectly and was user friendly?

    I'm selling Smartphones and at least once a week someone tries to buy a phone fraudulently. It is easy to see when you get these sales because the client has no ratings and also opened the account the same day they placed the order. Now we need to wait 7 days to file an SNC as well as another 7 days to get our money back. This is really ridiculous. On EBAY they only charge a "Success Fee" when actual payment happens. This way I don't have to keep on filing SNCs.
